Steve Karitzis, also known as DJ S.K.1, is the founder of Rolling Deep.

Two years ago, Steve built a home studio for his son, Subnotik, to provide a safe and creative space where he and his friends could practice mixing, stream live sets, and produce music. Most importantly, it was created as a positive environment to keep young people off the streets and focused on their passion for music.

With nearly 30 years in the scene, Steve has established himself as a multi-genre DJ and promoter. Performing under the name DJ S.K.1, he has played in major clubs across the UK and even held a residency in Barcelona at the renowned super club Penelope’s.

Today, Steve’s mission is to focus on the next generation of DJs. Rolling Deep is dedicated to giving under-18 DJs real opportunities to showcase their skills—not just from their bedrooms, but on stage at established venues. The platform helps them gain experience, perform alongside big-name DJs and MCs, and develop in a safe and supportive environment.

Over a year ago, Steve connected with the Lemz team, who shared the same vision. Together, Rolling Deep and Lemz Studioz are building something special—offering mentoring, lessons, and events that continue to grow in scale and impact.

With exciting plans ahead, 2026 is set to be the biggest year yet.
